The symbol of current says, that the US government ruled by President George W. Bush has been in broad complex trouble.  Although there is no way to get out of the troubles, there is still no critical danger.  Nobody is still trust the current government, so they are pretty silent now.

This is a pretty close visualization of the current US federal government.  It is facing a handful of big troubles, like the war in Middle East, the economy of the nation, the frequent natural disasters, and the crushing real estate and stock market.  Meanwhile, the House and Senate are in the hand of Democrats, which makes the government rather low efficiency of making any critical decision.  It has indeed pretty silent in over a year.

彖曰：困，刚掩也。险以说，困而不失其所，亨，其为君子乎。贞，大人吉，以刚中也。有言不信，尚口乃穷也。

这是说，现任政府的穷困，是因为政府和国会的（两党）斗争造成的。表面看上去前途不妙，但这种困境并没有改变布什历年主导的大政方针，所以没有致命的问题，双方的斗争仍是君子之争，并为伤及国家利益。这样，布什的既定政策仍然在执行下去，因为他并为丧失主心骨。他现在新的政见无法推行，只是因为在国会辩论中处于少数而已。

This is to say, the Bush Administration’s stalling is caused by the disagreement of the two parties.  It looks that he has been stopped, however, nothing initiated years ago by President Bush is still running as is.  Nothing critical has happened.  It seems that the battle is still under control.  Thus, since Bush is not changed by the weakness in House and Senate, everything is still on his designed route.  Only he loses the ability of making further advances.

象曰：泽无水，困。君子以致命遂志。

困卦水在湖下面，显示湖中无水的卦象，所以称作困。君子在这种困境下，应当只论是非而不计较个人得失，才能达成自己的志向。

This symbol demonstrate that water is under the lake bed, or say, no water in the lake.  So it is called “trapped”.  The gentleman should only concern right or wrong, but not personal benefits, to keep commiting his ambition.

The third mark is going to change from negative to positive.  It shows that Mr. McCain is facing a very embarrassed situation.  If he claims to advance after Bush, he will face the disbelief of those who disagree with Bush.  If he claims that he will draw back Bush’s plot, he will face the pressure from the benefited parties.  He even has nobody to be trusted to discuss about this.  This is the biggest draw back to his campaign.

九四：来徐徐，困于金车，吝，有终。象曰：来徐徐，志在下也，虽不当位，有与也。

这一爻的变化象征存在渐变的途径，虽然缓慢，不是很光彩，但是其志向在于缓解矛盾，终究会达到目的。

The fourth mark is going to change from positive to negative.  This denotes a slow change.  It will be slow, not very much glory.  However, its purpose is to reduce the conflict, and he will get to his goal.

This is a bright sign to McCain.  He does not promise or propose abrupt changes to Bush’s unfinished projects.  Nothing really big or breaking.  However, he is to propose to slowly reduce the risks aroused.  And this would be an important point that will attract the voters that have suffered enough.

这一爻显示上下都受制，就像是被绳子捆住了脚，连行动都不能。但是他会得到强有力的支援，虽然缓慢，但终于会脱离困境，得到福祉。

The fifth mark is also going to change from positive to negative. It is to say that his current situation is very trapped in the Bush’s shadow, seems nowhere to maneuver.  However, it is predicted that he will get strong support (probably a very be favored VP candidate).  Although the change will be slow, he will get out of the trap, and win out.

上六：困于葛藟，于臲卼．曰动悔，有悔，征吉。象曰：困于葛藟，未当也，动悔，有悔吉，行也。

这一爻显示他仿佛被葛蔓缠绕，不能逃脱，因此常感到不安。如果这时能够认真反思，而不是鲁莽行动，时犹未晚。

The sixth mark will change from negative to positive.  It shows that McCain is like being trapped in a net.  If he were going to try fight out of it, the things would turn more and more against him.  However, if he realizes that he could show a few regret, work out a mild plan, it is still early enough for him to win the campaign.

The symbol of Gu predicts a pretty bright future to McCain’s campaign.  He looks like to have the fate of the next President.  However, things have not yet be fully determined.  It still depends on two critical issues.  The first, if he will have a good convincing plan to get the USA slowly out of the problems left by Bush Administration; the second, he should not make major mistake in the remain of his campaign.

就是说，McCain看起来外强中干，说的不一定能做到，他领导的未来会显得多事，混乱。但是他却有能力让事情顺应天道发展，而最后化解危机。所以说他的竞选前途光明。布什时代的终结，麦肯时代的开始，是合乎天道的。

This is to say, although it looks now that McCain is weak inside with a strong show off, he lacks proofs that he will be able to do what he said, and the future looks unpredictable, he is like to have th ability to make things work as it should, and ease the crisis.  He has mostly a bright future on his campaign.  It is more nature to have McCain to succeed Bush.

象曰：山下有风，蛊，君子以振民育德。

这个现象是说，山下有风是蛊的卦象，君子应当效法这样的精神，振兴民生，培育道德。

This event is to say, that Gu means wind under mountain.  The gentleman should follow this idea, to reform the economy and the moral.
